About Us
FineLight Films is an independent production company based in London and New York. The company was formed through a shared vision of creating high quality, innovative feature films. Our founding members bring a large and varied set of experiences across all areas of production.

Finelight has produced three feature films that have sold in major international territories and several award-winning short films. The feature "Baseline", which stars Dexter Fletcher, Jamie Foreman, Freddie Connor, and Gordon Alexander, was distributed by Studio Canal Plus and has sold to 16 different countries. Finelight currently has two feature films and a television pilot in development.

Freddie Connor
Actor/Producer
Freddie Connor graduated from the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, London. He is a multi-award winning film actor, producer and screenwriter.
He won the renowned “Award of Merit” as a producer for two years in a row at the Accolade Global Film Competition (2016 & 2017). MovieMaker Magazine named Accolade among “The Top 25 Festivals worth the entry fee!”
Freddie wrote and produced the critically acclaimed drama “Heather’s Painting,” which has been nominated for over 50 international awards. It has won 30 major awards including “Best Picture” at the Hollywood International Moving Pictures Film Festival, 2017. He was awarded Best Screenplay at both the Lakeview International Film Festival and NYC Indie Film Awards, 2017.
Freddie was one of the main producers of the feature film “Baseline,” which sold to over 15 countries and was released by Studio Canal Plus in the UK. The London Insider selected “Baseline” as one of the top 5 films of the year, alongside “Inception.”
He has also produced multiple award-winning short films, including “Mondays,” which won the Best Micro Crime Drama at the Indie Gathering International Film festival, 2017
Sheraiah Larcher
Producer
Sheraiah Larcher is a multi-award winning BAME actor, writer and film producer. He graduated from the renowned Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with a BA in Acting and has worked in theatre, television and the UK film industry.

In his final year at Central, Sheraiah was nominated for the prestigious Spotlight award for excellence on stage. Only 20 graduates from the UK are nominated each year and Sheraiah was a finalist! Since then, he has also worked in film as a producer, writer, casting assistant, and music consultant.

As an actor, Sheraiah's recent appearances include “Eastenders” and as a guest lead on the BBC's "Waterloo Road.”

In 2010-2012 Sheraiah co-produced the feature films “The Grind” and “Baseline” for which he was also nominated as a writer for Best Screenplay at the New York City International Film Festival and is one of the founding members of the independent film production company FineLight Films.

Sheraiah has a number of film projects currently set for release including “Joe” by the award-winning writer-director Hywel John, “Break” by the talented US actor-director Adeel Ahmed and “The Women Who Knocked on My Door” by female BAME director Khadifa Wong.
Katherine Meyer
Executive Producer
Katherine Meyer, professor emerita at The Ohio State University as well as senior administrator at both OSU and the National Science Foundation, has won recognition and awards for her scholarly writing, presentations and her undergraduate and graduate teaching.
Dr. Meyer has also served on numerous university, professional, and community Advisory Boards; the latter includes Columbus Dance Theater and Ballet Met. She was involved in the process of making the award-winning feature "Baseline" (2012), which won Best Feature at the New York City International Film Festival. In 2017, Katherine served as Festival Coordinator for the Comedy Film Festival of America.
She has been a supporter of Finelight Films' Productions since its inception. She contributed to making award-winning films: "Luna Park" (2015), "Monday's"(2015), "Sipped"(2016), and "The Woman Who Knocked on my Door" (2017).
She is particularly proud of being the line producer for the critically acclaimed drama “Heather’s Painting" (2016), which has won 30 major awards.
In 2019, Katherine was one of the executive producers of New York political feature “Nectar”.
